I was at Bolsa Chica wetlands when I got this shot. The 400mm f/5.6 has truly worked like a charm for me and it is in instances like this that I truly realize the power of the tracking and AF that both the 1D2 and the 400 have to offer. But, being the skittish birds that kingfisher are, I was actually balancing on a fallen tree, hanging over the marsh 15 feet out to get this shot :). I would say, well worth it.

    Taken with the 1D2 and 400mm f/5.6L @ 5.6 at iso: 640

Getting a flight shot of this species is something to be very proud of. Well done!
