Beautiful composition and great action in this image. Would love to see a little more detail in the upper wings but the mood this presents with the darkness is awesome. Beautiful lighting on the head and body. A tad more room if possible on the top as it is a little tight., but a very impressive image and many thanks for sharing Phil

Love this one Phil. What a great looking bird. The lighting on the bird and the texture of the BG make it look like an oil painting.

Fill flash would have brought out more detail under the wings.

    Well done.

The pose looks very good and the pellet adds interest. The parts that are not sunlit have a strong blue cast on my monitor.

very nice pose, perch and BG, open wings really add to this image, so does the pellet. Agree there is blus cast in the shadow areas.
