    Hey Mary, I like the details, earthones and textures of the hosta leaves and I think the BG looks interesting, but for me the blurred fore ground stand out and seems to overpower the more interesting parts of the image.

    The foreground blur to me was like fog when you're standing on one mountain, looking immediately downward.

    What a different idea and image. I like the spirit of experimentation.

    The shapes are interesting but the contrast is too strong to be pleasing to me, especially the blown highlight spot.

    Hey Mary I think the second one works better, I also think its good that you explained your thought process, as it helps us to understand your intentions about the image.
