    Default The concerned parent

40D. 400f5.6L at f/6.3. iso 400. 1/1000s. early morning light. I liked the 'parent is concerned but the naive chick not so much' story this tells.

I could have gone closer but did not want to disturb them too much. Hence, this is a bigger crop than what I typically like to do. In hindsight, I think I should have shot this wide-open for a slightly better bokeh.

    All C&C welcome.

Kaustubh, Im enjoying your series of these low angle captures. Good HA, soft light and another great effect with the DOF. Overall nice and sharp too. Although some may like the OOF chick in the BG, I believe moving the kildeer back to the right, losing the OOF chick, will strengthen the comp. Its just how I see this.

Like the low angle, head angle, eye contact & sharpness. Agree with Stu on the crop.:)

I like the inclusion of the chick, angle and light but find the dark spot at the top a bit overpowering.
