    i shot this weaver in 2006 at a place called Thika which is about 30 mins from Nairobi in Kenya,

    Nikon D2X 600mm, 1/500, sec at f/4 iso 160

    Ken:

    Striking lighting, very eye catching. Clean background highlights the subject and nest well.
    The yellows on the breast don't show a lot of detail. The eye/head could stand a bit more sharpening.

    I might be tempted to try a version with the bird moved to the right a bit so it isn't so centered, but the balance is interesting as is.

    The yellow on this one is quite difficult on a computer monitor to get all the detail to show, but i seen it printed in a book and there was more detail than i thought it would produce, could just be my crappy processing!!

    Cool setting and pose, you could try to selectively desaturate the yellows a few points and maybe sharpen the head a bit more. I like the composition as presented.
