This was from my recent visit to Nickerson on Sunday where I ran into Denise and Artie as well as a few others. Artie told me this should be an easy capture...perhaps with a better wind direction??......let's just say that I had quite the challenge oon this day but probably the best few frames in all my attempts of the mid air fight. Many frames with clipped wings, bad wing position, etc. etc.....but this one is close. Luckily for me, I should have many more attempts!
Canon 1D Mark lll with the Sigma 300-800mm lenas @ 536mm for 1/2000 sec at f8 and ISO 800. 66% full frame on this one.

    Roman:

    Pretty loose crop here:D.
Nicely exposed. I particularly like the lower bird, with wide spread wings, open bill and can still see the eye, not easy with this pose.

Nice sense of the action here.

    Cheers

Cool interaction, I also like the light. If anything, it would be nice to see the eye of the bird on the right, too.

One of the best images I have seen from Nickerson.

Roman, It looks great! I love the action and the poses. Nice lighting too. A little blue area on the underside of the one wing? The framing looks great.:)

Hey Roman, this isnt easy, so you have done exceptionally well to have captured this interaction.
