Default White-rumped Sandpiper at last light

Another shot of this beautiful shorebird taken a day after the one in the rain. I went back to the same place hoping I'd find the bird. Bingo. Got flat on my belly, opened up the wounds on my elbows and knees :-) and enjoyed taking pictures in the setting sunlight. Love the reflecting sun on the beak. Close to full frame, little crop for composition.

    Comments are welcome.

Lorant, sweet light. loved the pose, low angle, head angle, sharpness, comp...everything really. The shine on the bill is icing on the cake.

    Hey Lorant,
Absolutely stunning! Love the angle, colors, and comp. For me the little bit of light on the bill is also a plus!

I like the angle, eye contact and setting. I might lighten the eye and remove the bright patch on the bill.

A beauty man! Might sharpen a tiny bit but I'm viewing on my laptop. Love the HA, BG, FG and leg reflections!

    Thanks for all the comments.

Axel, are you referring to the reflection of the sun? If yes, there is no way I'd remove that one. That makes the image special for me. I was looking behind me waiting for the sun to appear from the clouds before it goes under.

I can try lightening the eye and see what it gives. Thanks for the suggestions.

Super low angle Lorant, and I like how the sandpiper fills the frame. Good feather detail, and I would try and lighten the eye.
