I've always wanted to see elephants in a river like this, very good action and love the trunk on the right.

Almost looks like it could take slightly more sharpening which would also lift the contrast slightly but even without this, very nice and interesting.

    Ken,
Lovely interaction. It is fun watching these gentle giants. Did you apply any noise reduction? The blue colour of the water looks nice. Was it photographed from a boat? Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers,

We were in a Land Rover in the water at the edge of the river, luckily the soil underneat was still quite firm.

I think I applied some NR in the DPP process, I will soon be testing the advice of Arash Hazeghi in

    Ken,
Do you have NR on in your camera? If so, then DPP does a slightly better job than the lightroom. I may be a minority on this, however, I didn't like the incamera NR option. When I viewed the files at 100%, I found the details are messed up, with the incamera NR on.

    Cheers,

    Sabyaschi,

I am glad you asked that question, I thought that I had religously followed the settings recommended in Artie's MkIV guide but I had not. I have now disabled this function (CFN II-2).
