    Default Sunrise Silhouette

    Attached Images Attached Images

Taken at Nickerson Beach. Artie showed me one of the images on the back of his camera and I had to give it a try. Getting the bird against the orange color of the sky was a little bit tough. I do like the way the silhouette shows all of it's features.:)

That's really pretty Denise. What great sunrise colors! Sometimes hard to get those birds to do what we want. :) Glad you gave it a try, nice results!

Sweet. I love the open bill and the sharpness. And the sky color. Are you seeing some detail on the bird? A pano crop from the bottom might work well here.

Kerry and Artie, Thank you both for commenting. :)
Artie, I darkened the bird just a bit-I did see some details.

Denise, With my calibration strip adjusted, I am still seeing the white of the upper tail....

    Nice image and application, Denise.

Too bad the eye is in the dark.

Mark, Where else would the eye be in a silhouetted image?
