This is another image of a Frigatebird that I made at James Shadle's boat. This one is a female and I also liked the clouds in the BG.

    1D4, 500f4, 1.4x, 1/1250s, f/8, ISO 400, manual exposure

I like everything about this, the perspective, the head angle, the clouds. Very cool to see the top of the bird's wings.

Fine work Axel. Grey blue background is killer.

Love the shapes of the Frigatebird's wings in contrast to the tail shape, like an X or hourglass, convex v. concave, you know what I mean!

Simply, well, magnificient! I wouldn't mind less room at right so it matches the amount of room above...but wow what a beautiful pose, combined with your usual perfect techs:cool:.

Thanks, Daniel! Interesting that you mention the crop. Originally, it was the way you suggested but it looked somewhat unbalanced and I went with this one.

Hi Axel. Magnificent bif shot - oncoming, good head angle and eye contact, great banking wing and tail spread. I like the comp as is, and good bg tops it off, with terrific exposure.

Axel, I think the catchlight is really making this one a winner. Killer wingspread and details there. Thx for sharing. Looks like you guys had a lot of fun in Florida.

Thanks, Arash! I think I did run color NR, maybe not enough, though.

Stunning wingspread...exposure and sharpness are excellent Axel.

I looked had at your original post and the one Arash ran NR on and I'm having a hard time seeing much of a difference that I can put my finger on BUT...somehow it does look a bit cleaner.
