Not the ideal light, but I liked the moment.

    V nice pose/walk, BG.
This was in full sunlight, right? Probably just me, but something about brightness or contrast or ? doesn't seem quite right on for sunlight?

Soooo, took original into Photoshop and looked at levels histogram. Nothing above 210. This explains darkish cast? Moved right arrow over so that an input of 210 now gives an output of 255. Here is repost and below it the original histogram and repost with arrow moved to 210.

I really would like to see this in a larger format the image you have posted is only 700 x 466 just over half of maximum (see Steve Kaluski's Sticky on posting from PS). I really like the tail position, but it does not give you a lot of option for cropping:) Light is perfectly acceptable to me, sometimes shadows cannot be avoided.

I think the tiger photographers can do no wrong and wish it were the same for those of us who chose to photograph Africa's cats. :(

Agree with Ken regarding image size but like Tom's re-post which lifted the tiger nicely. The pose with the tail is very typical of a cat, and I like the long grass in the background.

I agree about the small image size. It becomes tough to critique. Nice behaviour.

Love the tongue and the tail. I like the birghtness of the repost but it is more yellow than the ORIG and too yellow for me.

AM - ". . . repost but it is more yellow than the ORIG and too yellow for me."
Interesting, only thing changed was levels brightness (RGB input from 255 to 210). Can you explain why this would affect yellow/blue? Must have been in original?
Anyway I did go back into PS and added some blue and the bare dirt area in front of the tiger did become more neutral. Both original and repost. I did not try to sample areas to compare % of blue, before and after. Sure takes a good eye (yours) to see this in a mostly yellow-green image!!!!

My understanding is that simply re-saving a JPEG can cause a color shift. Other than that I am no expert :)

Average blur RGB #s for the orig are: 118, 107, 53. RBG #s for the repost are 142, 130, 65. I am not sure how to figure out the yellow from those #s
