Went out Sunday and tried getting a few for the challenge, struck out with bugs at my favorite place but worked on flowers ... did notice this weekend is the unnofficial start of summer ... almost melted out there and couldn't stay long !!! This is the inside of some sort of flower

I really like the explosion of color!
Nice with the lines continuing from the spikes to the bg.

Very nicely done, I like the comp. IT was so hot I kept looking at the flower while I was sitting down in the shade, but no energy to get it.

    Hey Al,
I really like the way the spikey things ground the image and then lead up with the flow of the color. The spikes stand out very nicely against the darker BG too. Luckily for me...we only made it to the upper 80's today!

It's been really warm in the Midwest, too but at least we don't usually have the humidity that you all do! Love the explosion of color, Al. You did a great job keeping the oranges in check. I do think a slight shift to the right would have cut down on the OOF area to the left of the frame (LLC) but I still like the image as is.

Gorgeous. Love those bright colors. I like the composition. Those little things sticking up at the bottom look like flames.

Very nice Alfred, the colors seem to reflect the temperature! Nice flowing line and crisp details.
