Stuart, The nesting material is a nice plus, but the fact that this bird is past you and angled slightly away from you gives me a disconnect with the image. I'm sure you'll have more opportunities tho.

Pretty good view of the top of the wings although, I do wish I could see the primaries of the far wing. I also would have like to have seen the head turned toward us a little more. The nesting material is a plus. Decent detail in the bird. The exposure looks very close with only a few blown highlight on the top edge of the far wing. There also seems to be something funky going on just above the tail feathers as I see an area that appears lighter than other like feathers I like the sky as I find the light blue and clouds pleasing.

As presented the bird is a little centered for my personal preference. An earlier capture or using a focus point on the right would have helped in the the field. If your so inclined this would be an easy to reposition the bird off center in photoshop using techniques in Robert O'Toole's APTATS II.

Hi Stuart Not bad but you have been posting much better !!! Would like seeing the wings spread fully and the image made before the bird was past you !! Looking forward to the next one !!!
