    Default Common Redstart

    Hi

I have spent the last couple of Saturday mornings photographing redstarts, one of our woodland summer migrant visitors, in North Wales. I set up a small mealworm feeding station each year for a pair that nest in a derelict farm. I have a huge library of redstart images but can never resist going back each year to get a few more photos of these beautiful birds.

    Taken with 1DmkIV with 500mm lens at ISO 640 F6.3 at 1/500s and -1EV

    Cheers

    Rich

This really is a beautiful bird, I also like the soft light, lichen and sharpness. If anything, I might raise the color temperature a bit.

Love it! Everything looks great and in place. I also like the curve of the perch. Well done Rich, and thanks for mentioning the mealworm set-up.

Many thanks for the comments and replies. I just hope the birds are still there when I get back from my trip away at the end of this week.

    Cheers

    Rich
