    Default Nyala Sunrise

Actually a bit after sunrise in Sabi Sand Reserve South Africa, May 2007. Two Nyala (young female I believe) came out on trail just as we came around corner in game drive vehicle. Of course I loved the strong side/back light. Might like a bit lower POV. Like (what seems to be) eye contact.

Post processing - minor cropping, wanted to keep the large environment which is glowing so nicely in the light. Colors warmed and saturated to taste. No cloning. ISO 900, f8, 1/250sec, 168mm equiv.

Very dreamy, golden light here. Very pretty. The leading female looks very young?

Thanks all. Would think the lead female is young, maybe daughter of other? I'm no expert on Nyala, not even 100% certain they are Nyala :)) As you very well know Hilary, the magical thing about game drives is you never ever know what the next 10 seconds or around the corner may bring :)

Tom, sadly I've never even seen a Nyala. :( But you are right about what the next bend will bring … is there anything better?
