    Hi Ian

    Just needed softer light here Not much you can do except using a diffuser !! btw for stationary subjects I have tried using HDR with mixed results but interesting !!!

    Tech wise would try a larger opening for keeping the bg blurred, the animal is parallel to the plane and dof should be fine, for this one the bg blurring takes precedence !!1

    Nice lizard, but it's not so sharp and as said you need softer light
