Sweet light on that Sea Lion Lots of detail and good feeling pose !! Might have tried a vertical? Just want a little more room at the bottom !! Excellent !!!
Like how the face is sharp but the neck back is not. F8 was good for this on this shot. A little bit more at bottom would be easy to clone in. Might want to develop the habit of not framing in camera just perfectly tight as you think you will like. That is, frame and then back off 10%. Gives you something to fine tune adjust/crop later. Especially after you post here and get ten suggestions on cropping :)
Hmm, there's a novel idea, instead of viewfinders having 100% coverage, let me mask it at 80%. Then I'll frame in camera until I smile but still have a little "canvas" for later cropping choices.

Thanks all. Didn't include more sand in front because the sand was so white and it was difficult to expose and not have the sand blown but keep the sweet light on the face. Any suggestions for how to handle that?
