I was in London last week and decided to drop into Richmond Park at the end of the day. The park has big herds of fallow and red deer, which are a left over from the old Royal hunting days. The deer herds are pretty much left to get on with things in these huge park land areas, except for some selective annual culling. The main reason for having a look was to check the place out so I can return for the autumn rutt. Amazing to find these majestic animals so close to the centre of London.

Beautiful sharp image in great light. I just wish that his right rear leg wasn't overlapping as much with the left front. If it was mine, I might try cropping a little on the right.
The warm, rich side-lighting, and the rack on this beautiful stag make the image for me. The recommendations made are noted, but I feel the image is very nice as is.
