    Default Green Heron

I took this Green Heron last year. I enjoyed watching him fish and when he caught one, it was like he was showing it to me. I used a Caon 20D
    with Canon 100-400 lens.

A wonderful capture! This is a large fish for this guy. They're usually much smaller. I love these birds but a shot like this is a rarity. Pictorially the leaves in the foreground present a bit of a problem especially since they block the feet. However the HAP should be happy with both bird and fish. Well done.

what a great catch! The heron looks a bit crowded in the picture to me, can you add more room around it? especially at the bottom to make room for the lower foot.

    good critique already made.
I love shooting green herons and this one has some nice elements: good DOF, good level angle for bird and fish, smooth BG.
    Darn OOF leaves in front!!

    keep shootin' and welcome

Thanks for your comments. I appreciate it. It was a close shot and I do wish the leaves had not been in frontof the foot, and in the future I will certainly try your suggestions.
