    Default Tree Swallow

    It sometimes seems hard to get shots of these guys on anything but their nesting boxes. I was really happy catch this one on a cattail. C&C welcome.

    Canon 7D + 400mm f/5.6
    ISO 320, 1/500, f/8

    Very nice pose and sharpness, James. Exposure looks good and I like iridescence on the head. It may be an option to remove the bright OOF areas in the BG on the right.

    This is one proud-looking bird. I like the sharpness, head angle and unusual perch. You handled the light well.
