    Default Herring Gull

This gull was shot on a Canon 40d with a Sigma 70-300 mm lens.

I am new to this and would like as much feedback as possible.

    thanks

welcome to BPN, nice clouds and light. Seagulls can be fun to photograph, a few points
shooting angle is too steep and the bird is flying up and away from you, you want to have the bird flying towards you. Bird is way too small in the frame. You would find a lot of resources and good suggestions in ETL forum.

TFS, looking forward to the next one

Welcome to BPN! Agree with Arash. Gulls are a fantastic place to start, good choice. Also if you can post your specs it makes it easier to give suggestions.
