    I have always found these birds fascinating as well as being very beautiful. A challenge to photograph in flight due to the dark underwings. If the lighting is not just right one wing will have detail while the other is dark. I love photographing them while flying but few have been keepers.

    I would also be happy!
    This is a very nice bird and as you state, is not easy to photograph. Lovely colors and HA. I would suggest a bit of NR on BG.

    Supr flying posture Judy, and the downstroke of the near wing has shown the detail and colours nicely. I agree a little selective sharpening on the head will work. Well captured.

    Judy - This is a fantastic shot of a unique species in lovely light. Comp is right on and I agree with everybody else that you nailed it. Great shot!
