Hi Joel Nice set up and got you results !!

Like the bird pose and bg !! Would try lowering saturation in the red channel, in PS just go to saturation> select red channel and see how the reds look better and have more detail with a few points of reduction. In CS5 its is easier just select the eye on the ul corner and drag the mouse over the reds left and right !!

Might try getting the birds to land on a stick but I know how little cooperation we usually get from them !!! Excellent and like it a lot !!!

Very nice shot of this bird and BG.
Just a bit centered for me.

Really nice shot, maybe a tad less on top and more on the right - mostly feel here!

Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback.

I have plenty of shots with birds on a stick, no problem with that, I specifically was trying to get this guy on this rock and it worked!

Al, I did de-sat the reds as you suggested and I added a little Cyan to the reds (Thanks Artie!) but maybe it needs a little more. It started to look unnatural to me when I went further.

    Thanks again

    Joel

    Really nice shot Joel !

I like the rock, and the crop.
JMO but I think the color looks natural in this shot.

Big congrats Joel - doing well.
A little tight in the frame for my personal tastes - lots to like here :)
There is a thread in the educational resources forum entitled - REDUCATION.

Beautiful image, Joel. Nice pose and Bg. I like that his crest is up. The rock perch is interesting. it's good to have something different every once in awhile. Red color looks good to me, based on the color of the ones around here. (at tjis time of year)
