i think if you wanted to make a political statement you should put some text inside the frame of the image. this is a perfect image for doing just that.
and i agree. i sure hope this junk shot works soon!! i'm feeling more negative about this thing every day.
Hi Harold, I really wanted to make an environmental statement, but I guess that is unfortunately entwined with politics. It is my way of saying that this terrible tragedy is really getting depressive. I'll definitely put some text in the image itself and repost it soon. Thanks for the idea.
Point made Ricardo It is a mess and no idea how it will turn out :(
.. outstanding detail in this image !!!
I added text in the image and went for the full quote attributed to our President as he expressed his frustration concerning this tragedy. I hope I do not offend anybody with the added word. I wish to reiterate that my sole concern at this point is for the environment, most especially all the precious birds who cannot defend against this man-made disaster.
Yes, Al, it is just terrible! I sure hope we get it behind us very, very soon!
I really like this image. The idea of the statement made it even better.
Great job.
Hi Ricardo,The birds work very well with the statement.Very strong in that regard.
If,I mean if the hole is plugged now the real work begins...
Thanks Troy and Dave. You're right, Dave, cleaning up the mess may take years. Sad!
now that makes a statement!! nicely done, ricardo!!
early rumors are that the work they are doing is working. i dont know if the info got "leaked" onto the web or not. as per the live webcam i still see flow of something. doesnt look like oil, but.........
Great Statement!! - Like the image also :)
Like the pose and nice details.
Thanks Harold and Lance. I appreciate your comments.
Sure hope whatever they're doing works!
Really nice image. The re-post with the text puts it over the top.
Peter
Hi Ricardo,
Lovely capture, and composition. The sentiments are echoed everywhere.
The species of birds, plants, fish, and animals affected by this will probably be tallied over years. Some lost will go unnoticed. It is both heartbreaking and frustrating.
Here's hoping they get it plugged!
Ann
Thanks Peter and Ann. Appreciate everyone's comments; let's hope for good news soon!
