Shot this on a bright, high overcast day later in afternoon.........with the digital Rebel no less...........so that makes this shot "lucky";).......as you press the button...........wait for 4 hours and then click. I know this so I tried it anyway.....then switched to film (before Mark3). Techs are the Rebel with the 100-400 on tripod locked to where I thought he would approach. ISO 400 at 5.6 and 1/2500 sec. Shot wider at 200mm and cropped all around except for bottom........I can hear you all now......more room on bottom....but IMO that would make the bush and berries too predominant, not to mention nest below.

I love the color here! What scenic nest location they chose! Well done!

Very nice interaction image. The colors are very nice. The harsh light does not bother me because both birds are at the right angle. Good work!

Great timing! I like the moment captured, details, BG and setting. Maybe a tad oversharpened.

For me it's not more room at the bottom needed, but more room at right! The fact the birds are almost perfectly facing each other would justify having equal space on either side. Still a very appealing image. :-)

Very striking image and beautiful color and action. As mentioned a tad over sharpened. Many thanks for sharing Roman.
