    No guts - no glory!
Harold Davis (BPN's Facebook Czar), Jill Davis(Harold's wife and without question better half) and Becky Fields(BPN member and awesome client) take a break from photographing Magnificent Frigatebirds.

The Hooptie Deux is not floating!! A very low tide, in combination with Harold being on the boat put it to rest on the grassy bottom.

Everyone was informed ahead of time that we probably would not be able to leave for about an hour after we had finished our session. That was a pretty good estimate.
However we were able to leave after about only 30 minutes.

Becky and Jill thanks for being cool, Harold thanks for helping me push(that's what cut a half hour out)!

Music played while we waited - B-52s, Frank Zappa, Captain Beyond, AC/DC and Veruca Salt (Dang I'm old).

You need to freshen' up your on the water playlist. Doesn't seem to have evolved much over the past few years. You should rock some early CAN - Tago Mago or Ege Bamyasi. Definitely suits your eclectic / classic taste. But if you did want something more modern eclectic rock you might appreciate some Deerfhoof, Flaming Lips, Broken Social Scene or Snowden. Surely, you'd want something with a Southern appeal too but I got you covered there - Some Fleet Foxes will get some folk flavor along with early Iron and Wine (I strongly suggest "The Creek Drank the Cradle"), Son Volt or Wilco for your post modern country and maybe even some "How I Quit Smoking" era Lambchop if you just want to really chiiiiiiill.

I also have (just to name a few) Orange 9mm, Gossip, Bikini Kill, Cage the Elephant, The Flamming Lips, The Raconteurs, Miss Crazy, She Wants Revenge, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Wolfmother, New Young Pony Club, Gorillaz, Von Iva, Rev Theory etc.

With the above being said, I would still object to anyone suggesting that "Zappa" should be freshened up.

I have to admit - I'm somewhat impressed!

And please, don't fool yourself into thinking I don't respect Zappa...although, for that "brand" of music in that particular time period I'd take John Cale over Zappa any day of the week.

PS - you're welcome for the awesome recommendations!

Your guitar would never kill someone who has such a vast knowledge and appreciation for music. And if it did, it would have to get through my small army of guitars, drums, keyboards and various other instruments before getting to me ;)
