    Default Dove

Tried cloning out the moss hanging off the perch. Any suggestions on a better way to clone it out?

Nice dove you have there. Nice detail , exposure and pose. Hard to advise on cloning without seeing the un-retouched version, maybe you could post that as a response. Robert O'Toole suggests using Quick Masks to copy a similar or matching piece of background and then you can use the Eraser with appropriate edge softness to create an edge on the branch (APTATS 1). Then ease away any clone marks/vestiges with a low opacity clone brush.

    Good luck,

    Gerald

Gerald, thank you. I will research how to use quick mask to clone.

troy, why remove it? i think spanish moss adds to it. especially if there were same hanging below. it adds character to the image. cleaning it up too much can make it too sterile. you got everything else working for you here. really nice dove!! did you get the take off!!?:D

Moss was hanging on the lower left corner off the perch.
I will repost it with it.

I have some of it with the wings opened. I will share those soon.

Hi Troy,Very pretty! I like the pose and positioning within the frame. Perfect light with a pastel like backround.Obviously the moss bothered you and I certainly had no clue it was there. Well handled...
