    Default Mute Swan In-camera Chiaroscuro

I tried to do the weekly theme in-camera. It was one of Artie's techniques that he taught me called Blasting the highlights. What I did was under expose the image by one stop. My subject was backlit and in the sunny water so I set my f/ stop to 22, ISO 200(could have been 100) 1/800 sec. with my 100-400mm. Hope you like it.

Denise, this is pretty cool and a different take on the effect with the light behind the subject. I'm not sure about the dark area at the top of the frame. It could be cropped out and this would still look good to me. :)

    Nice image and application, Denise.

If you lower the body, into the water, ... I thought it was Nessie from the thumbnail!

Agree with Kerry on the top bank. Also would like to see a little detail in the body. But ... ... ... you know how it goes! ;) :D :D

Thanks folks, I appreciate the input. I chose to leave a portion of the bank(personal preference) but I do have some w/o it and will probably be posting another soon.:)

Denise, I actually like it with the black bit. It makes more visual sense with it in :)
    Best,
