    Default Kestrel fledgling

Captured yesterday at Placerita Canyon nature preserve in southern California. There were three fledglings out trying out their wings in this tree. I did a major branchectomy to clean up twigs. Shot in early evening light.

Really love the pose on this one and the eye contact is excellent as well as the detail. Beautiful BG and a most interesting composition. Well done Kerry.:)

Great HA/eye contact.... I've never seen a kestrel fledgling! Great find. Not sure I like the perch, but we take what we're given in these amazing encounters! CONGRATS!

I like the head angle and BG and would try to get some more details in the blacks.

Hi Kerry, Agree with the others on HA and light but I think I would crop from the bottom to lessen the perch in the frame.
