Wonderful flight image Jim. Excellent light and eye contact.
Outstanding! Maybe shifting him up some in the frame would be good? Either way, not much room for improvement here.
TFS!
Gorgeous light, Jim. Was this at Lake Blue Cypress? did you use your call?

Excellent sharpness Jim, great details and nice BG, incoming shots are toughest to get!!!

I like the angle of approach, pin sharp, and just love the intent concentration on the face. Very well captured Jim.
Jim,
Firstly, why are you posting this as osprey heaven? it should be flying owl heaven :). What a beautiful line of sight in the photograph. the owl just flying in a line just away from you is awesome. the eyes are magical. and that golden light is splendid. congrats Jim

Don't get much better than this. Light is killer.
WOW!!! All I can say is WOW!!!
Thanks, Ramesh.
The images I'm posting are all from the workshops based at the place I call Osprey Heaven AKA Lake Blue Cypress. I have been doing a series of bird photography workshops there each year since April of 2007. The name of the workshops is also Osprey Heaven.

Jim,
Normally I see images like that, but of captive birds. It is pretty stunning with great sharpness, pose and eye contact. You r handholding tech. is great. Fantastic work and I am sure your workshop rocks.

Absolutely superb, Jim. Agree with a little more space below tthe wingtips, but just personal preference. Also, I find the light (though beautiful!) to be a little too much on the pinkish side for this spp.... once again personal preference, maybe just a tad of desaturation if it were mine.
All this being said, I hope to take in a one-on-one next time I'm in FL if you're available:D
Well Jim what can I say. This is awesome !!!!! Perfect !!!
This would be a dream shot for me. Amazing.
DB
Incredible, this is a once in a lifetime shot I'd say!
this is just too good
TFS
All I can say is WOW Jim....this is simply stunning. You must have learned something at Flight School. Congrats on this capture
AHHHHHHHH, just stop it now!
Thats a fantastic image and it hurts because I wish it were mine.
The light and facial sharpness/clarity is fantastic!
Have you named this bird yet?
