Nicely exposed but shame about that log behind the birds head. Cluttered but a nice habitat image at the same time. I am not 100% sure if this (Bob's) image could benefit from an inch or so cropped off the top. Here is a repost of my crop suggestion.

    Thanks for sharing

Love the pose and the low angle is also very nice. I'ld maybe crop this with less above and less in front, without it going square'ish.

Hi Jamie, The repost crop off the top IMO is enough. You could crop a bit more off the right since there are so many distractions running through the image. If it isn't a problem for you I would take out the log thats merging with the head...

Great suggestions !! Tech wise your fine, ISO could have been lower but main thing is aperture and wide open was the way to go just like you did !

You could have tried moving around to avoid the log merge in camera, now we can probably get rid of it in PS but I'm a firm believer in doing so in camera !!! Exposure was fine and whites look great !!! With these just explore angles and angles !!!

Very nice environmental shot. I might try a tad darker bg.

All the logs remind me of our neck of the woods with all the logging and log booms being towed up and down the coast. Perhaps there are some sawmills or at least logging in the area. ?:)
