    Default Roseate Spoonbill

    EOS-1D Mk III, 500mm f/4L + 2xII, 1/1600, f/8, ISO 400
About 75% of Full Frame (cropped from top and right)

Added a sliver of canvas on the left.
Removed the tip of an OOF rock sticking into the bottom left corner of frame.

Photographed a few of weeks ago at Ding Darling NWR.
Based on the light plumage, I'm guessing this is a juvenile. Can anyone confirm?

Looking forward to your comments and critiques !

    Hi Mike,

Love the wings and perch. I think this is a juvenile as well. Looks a little too bright for my taste but you did well adding canvas and isolating your main subject.

    I really like it :)

While I wasn't overall thrilled with the subdued color of these juveniles when I saw them in person, I saw one in a setting such as the one yours is shot in and decided I liked them as much as the adults.
