Found this guy this morning at a local wildlife area. He's not venomous like the "down under" snakes that have been posted recently, but attractive (IMO). I got down on my belly for a snake's eye view! PP'ed in ACR and CS3, cropped. The light was harsh so I adjusted with shadow/highlight filter, both overall and selectively, cloned a few real bad hightlights out also. Selectively sharpened and removed noise with Noiseware Pro. C&C welcome

Nice shot Dan. I like how both the LLC and behind the head body lead the eye to the face. Use to catch the babies all the time when I was a kid in Sacto.

I like the way you have shown this to us, the pp has worked well. How wonderful if you had the tongue as well! The point of focus makes you look nowhere else but the face, excellent. Won't be seeing any snake photos from me! :o
