    Default Roseate Spoonbill

Photographed at Green Cay yesterday where BPN member Bill Kominsky showed me around. There were high clouds, which was good as I made this around noon.

This is a nice flight shot Axel well done. The Movement in the wings is a pre. I tone down the bird a little bite more for a better color on the bird. It's now a little too light for me.

Great capture of Green Cay's illusive Spoonbill. Wished I knew you were there..would have liked meeting you. How long are you staying in Florida?

Love the V pose and head on, pretty contrasting colors. I can see a bit of orange tail, so guessing it's in breeding plumage.

Thanks, Ken! There were 7 spoonbills yesterday, including 2 juvenile birds. It would have been nice meeting you, too, but I'm back in Pennsylvania now. I hope to be able to go back to FL soon since I had so much fun.

Love the even light and unique pose. The birds left "thumb" coming out of the bill is a little distracting, but I would love it if this were mine!!!

Nice unusual view of this species. I like the slightly off center head angle.

Wish we had more time Axel, maybe next time. Haven't heard from you and was hoping all was well. Here is the link to my Flickr site and hope you enjoy it.
