I want to share with you this image of one of the most common toucans here in Costa Rica. (Chestnut-mandibled Toucan)
I intentionally left a big portion on top as If I wanted to add some advertisement text related with Costa Rica!:)
Canon 30D
Canon 100mm macro! (this bird is used to people but flys free)
HH and FF
f/8
1/160sec.
ISO 500
Pop up flash -2
No exp. comp.
Minor PS work.
Interesting crop idea, good sharpness and eye contact. I would lighten the eye more and maybe remove the catchlight then. I might give it a tad more room at the left.
Hi, Juan Carlos. Really nice job balancing the fill-flash with the ambient light background. It wouldn't be my first choice for a crop for a stright picture but thinking about the inclusion of text makes sense.

The bird is fantastic of course.
I like the crop and eye detail,
I would only leave just a bit more space
on the left and let the black run near the edge
all the way down.
