    Hi Everyone,
Caught this female woodie with a frog at the local marsh yesterday.

    Stats: Canon 50D, 500mm + 1.4X, ISO 400, F6.3 at 1/400 sec, +1/3 EC

    Thanks for your comments,

    Steve

Pretty cool capture, I wasn't sure first what the duck caught. The highlights and midtones could go a bit darker and I might crop a bit off the bottom.

    Hi Steve,

This is a very interesting capture. The frog hanging out of the duck mouth makes this image in my opinion. I like the inclusion of the habitat. I agree with Axel's comments and would only add that it might be worth reconverting the image once for the whites around the eye and another one for the rest of the image. Then combine the two images in an attempt to bring bring more detail into the whites around the eye. As presented the white read 255 in photoshop and lack detail.

Again, I think this is a very cool capture. Thanks for sharing.

    Hi Axel and Phil,
Thanks for your suggestions. Here is the repost. Just got in from the evenings festivities so I didn't have time to work on it earlier. Hope this is more along the lines of what you thought might look better.

    Steve
