    Default Maui - Iao Needle

    Attached Images Attached Images

This image is of the 1,200 foot pinnacle rock in Iao State Park on Maui. It has been posted before, but brought back for this theme. The rock was used as a lookout point during the island wars, due to its height and view of the one entrance, from the sea into the valley.

The sky was painted with stars for the effect.

Modifications in CS4 included; Cooling Film Filter (80), Yellow Film Filter, Exposure, Shadow & Highlight, Hue & Saturation, Vibrance & Saturation adjustment, Spotlight with Color Filter.

    Enjoy!

Mark, I like this and the effect. Is that a shooting star? You did a good job w/ the starry BG.

Thanks Denise and Cheryl for viewing and comments.

The sky was 'painted" on the black BG layer with PS brush dabs, one star at a time. The shooting star is just a trail effect of the brush stroke. Needed something to fill the big black void and ... :D
