A ton of detail in the blacks. I really like that.
Nice composition with the bird not being too large in the frame.
OOF fg wavy grasses are presenting a big problem for me in some of my photos. I think the only way they might work is if they do not intersect the subject. I look forward to what others may say on this.
Hi Desmond Just the oof grass is detracting for me ! Love the fine shadow detail (awesome) and pose. Crop wise would like seeing less from the right !!
I go with a lot of oof stuff in my images and trying to incorporate more but having trouble with just one, my eye keeps going to the area !!
Hi Desmond - nailed the exposure - love that detail in those blacks.
The OOF grasses are a little distracting - that said I do love OOF foreground elements that are used to frame a image.
Lots to like here :)
I knew what would be coming but decided to post it anyhow :D:D
I read a photo critique a few days ago on the internet. The critique was on a documentary photo. The critic pointed out that the object that is in the foreground of that photograph gives depth(3D) to the photograph. Hmmm...isn't that what we usually see in landscape photographs?
Regarding this photo, looking back, I think the right side could use less empty space and perhaps the foreground grass is a bit too long :) But I do think it could play a role in this photo. And if you could see something more than the bird, hey, may be that's what I wanted you to do. ;)
Dave, I do shoot 200-400 hand-held a lot.
Thanks again !
