Clean bg, bird off center in frame, good room all around and minimized the perch
I think the overall image needs some density correction Face area looks washed out Your exposure comp was +1 In the Nikon system we don't have to add as much light as in Canon Just made one change with repost Made duplicate layer and multiplied then backed down the opacity Very nice image Gary!!! btw might want to pose at the max size to be able to evaluate better !!!

It was sure nice seeing you out there with the rest of the gang. Nice shot.... For the next time try to off set the bird to the left a bit more to fall in the 1/3 rule and the hue on the subject could use a little more color. Hey you did a good job...keeep up the good work...
