This was over exposed :o but I liked the image, so I played with exposure and contrast and did some airbrush work. Cropped, of coarse. Thanks for looking and input.

HI Anne - I like this a lot! Good feel to it and the BG and foreground work well together.
Bird does look somewhat soft and lacking in fine detail though.
Might sharpen the eye a tad - will make the bird appear sharper.

Hi Ann, great comments by Lance and Dave (as always). I especially like the soft BG that you got by using f/5. You might also try a vertical, tighter composition. In any case, whether portrait or landscape, I would crop about half the space behind the bird.
BTW, judging by the mean looks of this guy, I think he's defying authority :D.
I like the face of that bird, does go along with the sign .. and you got the entire sign and well framed !! I think the focus of the camera was on the sing and not the bird, will be tough sharpening the bird when its a little oof, ends up weird !! Best solution is to stop down as much as possible for dof !!! Excellent !!!
