    This is an image from Costa rica. Remember we are surrounded by rainforest on all sides and the challenge one faces to get a bird out in the open with good lighting is well a real challenge but wonderful !!!

    Is that a bit of motion blur on the beak? Looks good overall, I might have opened up the aperture a bit to lower the shutter speed.

    Judy I love the DOF it really makes the viewer have direct eye contact. Wonderful exp in handling the blacks over all really nice IMO.

    Judy wonderful image of this bird (a species that I didn't see while in CR last year). I love the HA and the sharp details.

    What a beautiful bird, Judy! Love the pose - the turn of the head - really special! Are the white specs near the eye/beak area part of the bird's coloring or should those be cloned out? Just wondering as I've never seen this species.

    Beautifully rich colors and detail. Great head turn and eye contact. Amazing to come up with this in the middle of the rainforest.
