This Snowy Egret seems a bit reluctant about being photographed. Maybe it was because of a bad hair day. :D

I like the composition, light, details and raised foot. I might clone some of the feathers at the right side and am interested what others think about it.

.... hair saloon time for the bird ..... need to get rid of the feathers at the bottom just sticking out ....and besides the bad hair day is having a bad bill day

Love the tittle!!! I like the selected crop minus the feathers Don't think you can crop since you need the entire foot Good head angle and exposure with a clean bg !!!!

I love the scruffy look and the title. Instead of cropping I would clone out the feathers up to where they begin to cover part of the egret's leg. A few sticking out would complement the scruffy look and cloning the rest would help the composition.

I agree on ditching some of the extra feathers, but I like this overall comp a lot.

Would agree w/ the other about loosing the feathers below the foot.

    Wonderful image... Well caught!

Love the profile capture. The BG works very well and the pose is very unique. Excellent work!

Reallly like this crop and composition. Cloning out a few feathers below the foot would work but very nice as is. Thanks for sharing David !
