    When I made this image, I was busy photographing a Kite and the opportunity happened with this subject coming in slowly but very close and thus the reason for a part of the tail not included in the image.

    Amazing how similar this species looks compared with the red-winged blackbird, except for the long tail. I like the eye contact and BG. The wing position is not ideal, which makes the underpart of the body look quite dark.

    Fine capture Sure wish you could have putted the trigger sooner That is one bird you have to be set for exposure wise You did very well with the surprise encounter !!!!

    Love the detail on the head. Agree with the left wing comment. Nicely done.

    I think you have exposed the blacks very well in this, and great catch light in the eye. Well captured.
