    i guess i'll just keep throwing stuff up against the wall til something sticks. i feel lost with the camera in my hands right now.

    D300, 150mm, f/3.2, 1/2000s, ISO 2000, manual exp

    Now that you have the focus of the flower sharp, I would crop the right and bottom to make a diagonal. the soft negative space detracts from the focused part of the flower. So does the white on the right side. Just my opinion. Can't wait to see the next one........

    Hi Harold,Agree with Richards suggestion regarding the crop. It is due to the OOF area being somewhat distracting to the overall. Sometimes this type of image becomes very subjective...

    Interesting idea about the crop. I would not have thought of that.

    I guess it is really subjective, because of the two, I really liked the first one better.

    Looking forward to the next.
