BF from the garden resting on clematis petal, seems to me this one was close to the end of his life... not in the best condition and moving very slow (cold weather also lately).

Hey Ovidiu, wow great image. Love the details, awesome colors, and great BG, not much left to say but well done.

This looks great, Ovidiu! I would probably try to sharpen the antennae a bit more but that's just me.

What makes you say this 'fly isn't in the best condition? It look pristine to me. :)

Near the brown (diagonal) wing edge there is an area where the white wing "powder" is almost gone. In the image it looks almost good because of the wing overlap. When the wings were opened I have seen the petal color through that area.

Nice one, Ovidiu! Wow, what a beautiful, clean pose! Excellent DOF - if you can't get that one antenna to be in focus you might select the end of the clear one, copy it and paste it onto the other one (if you're not opposed to such things.) Otherwise, I really like the image - especially that hint of purple shining up on his wings. The wings themselves add so much graphic interest to the image!

    Great image!
Very good portrait of the Black-veined White.
I think the unsharp antennas are to prefer before ugly halos of oversharpening.

Very nice. Simple in composition and colors. Lovely BG. I like that little bit of the Clematis it is standing on.
