    This is actually a photo illustration as the distant gull has been transported from somewhere in the middle of the image to its present position and flipped 180 degrees.. I wanted them on a diagonal. I wonder if anybody thinks it works.

    Hi Murray would like it even better with the last bird evicted I like the placement of the front two birds Would like seeing them more to the back These images are very difficult seen you need sharpness on both birds Don't know what lens you were using but short of a wide angle there was no way

    There is also heavy noise and lack of detail Did you have to open the shadows and crop Do like your idea and would keep experimenting !!!

    You're so right! It was a big crop and then opened shadows with the shadows/highlight tool. Lens was 70-300 at 70mm f/8.0 so I guess there should have been enough d.o.f. to get both birds in focus but in the heat of battle I missed it.
    I wanted three birds because club judges don't like an even number of points of interest. They claim it divides the attention of the viewer.
