This is a yellowbilled Duck, and I like the different angle of take off, from my normal side on shots. Although there's no wing spread in this image, I still like the action of having launched from the water. I do have the next frame with wingspread. Taken at Austin Roberts in Pretoria over the weekend.

Stuart...agree....works very well. loved the splash, angle of shooting and the expression. If you have more room in orig, then I suggest having some more at the top.

Stuart, I like it too! A bit different, good idea you had. Agree that a bit more room on top would be nice.

Thanks a stack Kaustubh and Grace. Unfortunately, I dont have any more room on top. I thought about extending the canvas, but I thought the droplets would cause a slight hiccup.

Great timing and detail. Agree with more space on top, but adding canvas and cloning the droplets would make it a time consuming exercise.

Very cool, Stuart. Looks like it hopped out of the water. Great detail and the HA is perfect for this shot.

Cool shot Stuart. Looks like a missile launched from a sub.
