have a day and a half to spend in anchorage.can anyone suggest a photo op
during that time frame?dagles would be great.july 21-22

The drive toward the Kenai Penisnula is good. Mountains, Dall Sheep, and the tidal flats.

As Jeff said the Turnagain Arm area can be worthwhile. Be careful along the busy road when photographing the sheep. The trucks and cars are flying by and there is not much of a shoulder.

Kincaid Park just outside of Anchorage by the airport is pretty reliable for moose and black bears can be found there as well. Ask at the rangers office which direction you need to head as it is all hiking and the park is pretty big. As you drive down the long road to the park look on the sides because I have seen moose there also. Moose can be dangerous so give them their space.
