    Default Osprey and fish

    Attached Images Attached Images

Osprey returning to nest with fish ... and it has a head :) Thought they ate the head first since most are seen without a head but Jim Neiger was telling me they just cut it off (probably don't like it) He finds lots of head around his yards from Osprey flying by !!! Been trying to get a different framing rather than the bird up in the air !!

    Comments welcome and much appreciated

Like the shot Al, only thing is it is oversharpened, I can see the white/halo long the edges of the wings.

...could be from noise reduction since wings did not have any sharpening .. will check on the next one !!!

Looks perfect Al, was tough to find a whole fish!!!
I don't see a halo, whatever is there is natural from light angle, my files have it too.

many many thanks for the driving the boat and taking us to this amazing location.

BTW, just got home, temperature 56F!!!!

Great "catch" with the whole fish! No halos from here either. Just the lighting on the feather edges :)

Wish that I could have joined you all for lunch but had way too much work to do. Headed to NJ/LI tomorrow. Yikes.

I like how the osprey is flying through the opening of the FG foliage, and seperated nicely from the BG too. Thats a fair size fish he has for his next meal.

Al, loved this comp. The sharp trees, then the OOF trees and then the sky....with osprey perfectly positioned.....cant get better than this.
