Came across this common night bird a couple of months back. While I regularly see them during my weekly solo spotlighting outings not many opportunities arise for portraits like this.

Never even heard of this guy. Lovely exposure and use of flash; great eye and feather detail. Thanks for sharing what for you is perhaps common, but new to me.
